Fertility care at JOGG
At JOGG, we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every fertility journey is different, and sometimes it’s more emotional than expected. That’s why we give you time to talk about your experience, explain your options clearly, and make decisions together.
We aim to take the pressure out of fertility care – no rushed appointments or revolving door of specialists. You’ll be seen by either Dr Mike Kamara or Dr Barton Smith, who take the time to build a relationship with you and understand your story.

Fertility Specialist Perth
We proudly welcome individuals and couples of all backgrounds – including single parents, same-sex couples and LGBTQ+ families. Whether you’re trying to conceive with a partner, using donor sperm, or just beginning to explore your options, we’re here to support you with compassion and respect.
Your first fertility appointment at JOGG
Your first visit is all about understanding where you’re at and what you’ve already tried. We’ll ask about:
- Blood tests (for hormones, ovarian reserve, vitamin levels etc)
- Semen analysis
- Pelvic ultrasound
- Ovulation tracking
- Pre-conception screening (genetic, infectious, hormonal)
This gives us a starting point to develop a plan that’s realistic, evidence-based and personal to you.
Infertility treatment Joondalup
Common reasons for fertility struggles
Many of our patients come to us feeling frustrated or unsure about why it’s taking so long. Sometimes there’s an obvious reason, and sometimes it’s more complex. The most common causes of subfertility we see include:
- Ovulation disorders (e.g. PCOS)
- Endometriosis
- Uterine or tubal abnormalities
- Male factor infertility
- Lifestyle factors such as smoking, alcohol, BMI or nutrition
- Mental health and stress, which can affect both decision-making and treatment adherence
- Age-related decline in egg quality
- Unexplained infertility
Where possible, we aim to get a clearer picture before moving into any formal treatments.
